Lil Wayne was sentenced today in Manhattan after
pleading guily to a New York gun case. As some of
you may know the hearing was previously postponed twice. Little Wayne
will be serving a year at Riker's Island.
Rapper Lil Wayne has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty in a New York City gun case.
The Grammy Award-winner was taken away in handcuffs to start serving his term immediately after his sentencing.
He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and admitted having a loaded gun on his tour bus in 2007.
He will serve his sentence in city jails, not a state prison, and could be released in about eight months with good behavior.
Wayne’s attorney will ask the courts to place her client in protective custody due to threats from NY Crips and for health reasons following expensive dental surgery.
From what I've heard, he's been preparing for this for quite sometime, meaning he's recorded tons of music, as well as video's. One he recently did with Baby MaMa/Singer Nivea, which is GARBAGE by the way, she might as well have not done a video at all, that ol' LATE, LOW BUDGET video! However Wishing him the best in there, jail is NO JOKE... Young Money!
